Wide-range measurement built around your process

Built for processes that operate beyond the practical range of a single DP primary element, the Adaptive Wide-Range DP Flowmeter combines dedicated low- and high-flow measurement sections with automatic, position-confirmed changeover. The result is a stronger low-flow signal, protected peak-flow capacity, continuous totalization and one coordinated engineering package. Select dual-orifice when an ISO 5167-2 standard-orifice basis leads the specification; select dual-balanced when the widest calibrated operating envelope or constrained piping leads the decision. Shizhong sizes and validates each system against the actual process and installation data.

Choose the configuration that fits your project priority

Dedicated low- and high-flow primary elements create overlapping measurement bands. Automatic changeover uses hysteresis, position feedback and the correct coefficient set while maintaining continuous totalization. Both configurations share this adaptive architecture; the difference is the standards and calibration basis selected for the project.

Choose this configuration when a recognized standard-orifice calculation basis, familiar DP engineering practice and ISO 5167-2 design limits for each qualifying active measurement section lead the specification.

Choose this configuration when maximum calibrated range, stronger low-flow DP or constrained piping leads the decision. Multi-hole elements and the complete switching system are calibrated as one coordinated measurement package.

Standards and validation basis: Each qualifying active standard-orifice section is designed within the applicable ISO 5167-1/-2:2022 limits. Shizhong engineers and validates the switching assembly, control logic and complete dual-balanced configuration against the approved process, piping and calibration requirements.

A 100:1 combined range demonstrated in DN50 water service

In the documented DN50 development configuration, a 25% open-area low-range element covered 0.38–3.8 m³/h and a 72.9% open-area high-range element covered 3.8–38.0 m³/h. The combined test envelope was 0.38–38.0 m³/h.
